Collectible First Edition - "FIRST EDITION" so stated on copyright page - of noted English novelist and Aldous Huxley editor Frank Swinnerton's A Brood of Duckling's. Bound in burgundy cloth with orange pictorial of flapper to front panel and orange lettering to spine panel. Includes scarce priced dust jacket with repeated pictorial of flapper to front panel in archival Brodart presentation sleeve. Inscribed and signed by author Swinnerton to half title page thus: "To Mr. George M. Nelson | with compliments & best wishes | Frank Swinnerton | July 3rd 1929." Tight, otherwise unmarked copy with minimal shelf wear. Chipping to dust jacket with areas of loss to spine and back panels.
