Two volumes -- the first from 1943, the second (containing the works acquired for Brookgreen Gardens since the publication of Volume I), from 1955. -- Foldout map in Vol. 1. Illustrated with b&w photographic plates. -- Spines of both volumes substantially darkened with moderate discolorations and previous owner's intials in ink at tails. Previous owners' inscriptions take up most of front free endpaper in Vol. 1; there's only one in vol. 2. Endpapers starting to tan, and starting to darken around edges. No DJs if issued with them. Overall good, tight, clean copies: 510 pp. and 183 pp.. Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
