This is the first collection of Anderson's folksy, whimsical stories that he wrote under the nom de plume of Buck Fever, for the two newspapers he owned in Virginia . Through his Buck Fever character, Anderson commented on the events of Marion, Virginia including the political and social mores and conducted fund raisers campaigns and answered desperate letters from Buck's girlfriends.
