Plain brown boards lightly bumped on upper foredge corner, rear panel. Leaves clean, foxing specks to textblock edges. Previous owner's address label to front pastedown. Illustrated dustjacket edgeworn, with minimal closed tears, and a small area of loss to upper rear panel, two short, closed tears to spine, some discolouration. "The title of this book gives a general idea of its subject matter, i.e. a side-line of the 19th century Gothic Revival in art and literature. This took the form among High Church Anglicans, not only of restoring parish churches and cathedrals, but of founding brotherhoods on supposedly 'Olde Worlde' lines . . . " Contents include: Introduction, Prologue, 15 chapters, Epilogue, Index. Book weight approx. 740g.. First Edition. Hardcover and Dustjacket. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
