About This Item

New York: Emily Bestler Books/Atria. This book is the fourth in Hunter's Earl Swagger history- thriller series featuring a WWII enlisted Marine. It is also the long=anticipated Swageger "origin" story that finds Sgt. Swagger, Pacific war hero, auddenly assigned to the European theater to counter a secret SS operation that was tipping off German snipers causing heavy Allied casualties after D-Day. First edition, first printing. About 6 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches, 464 pages including acknowledgments, bound in dark green paper-covered boards with gold lettering on spine. Dj's graphics show an unidentified soldier, perhaps a sentry, in a wooded location in the crosshairs of someone's rifle. The back panel continues the forest graphics while listing 10 blurbs of praise for Hunter's writing. Signed by Hunter on the title page; both book and dj are "as new" without noticeable flaws or damage of any kind. This book brings Hunter's Swagger series -- father and son - to a total of 16 books . As New. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 2023.
