No other notable defects. -- Condition. "The stories in this collection are based on the history of Douglas County, Oregon and are intended to show how young people lived and worked in pioneer times. Many of the characters, such as General Joseph Lane, Michel LaFramboise, Octavious Pringle, and Sylvester Rice, were and actual part of the pioneer scene. Of the characters and events have Bern fictionalized. The author is indebted to the Historical Research Library of the Douglas County County Museum for much of the factual material used in these stories".-preface.
