London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1946. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 7.5" x 10. A story with some of Aldin's charming drawings of animals for the younger reader. A tired copy there are signs of handling and bumping externally to the boards. A couple of pages with additions by previous owners. The binding is loose and the front hinge is failing. No dust wrapper. two of the pages have tears from the bottom edges. All orders processed promptly and shipped from the UK.
