London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1952.. First edition. 8vo. (viii), 274 pp. Recent red half morocco over marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered direct to three panels and decorated to the others. Some foxing to the half title, less so to the title, else very good.
Synopsis
Anthony Powell was born in 1905. He served in the army during World War II. He is the author of seven other novels, and four volumes of memoirs, To Keep the Ball Rolling .
