Athol, MA : Highland Press, 2014. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good. Signed. Inscribed by author on title page. Softcover. Good binding and cover. Shelf wear. Pages unmarked. 22 pages : illustrations ; 23 cm. <br> "Burt V. Brooks (1849-1934) was a longtime resident of Greenwich, MA, one of the four towns destroyed to create the Quabbin Reservoir water supply. He produced many paintings, photographs, and postcards of three of these lost towns. This book includes a biographical sketch of Brooks, and lists of his paintings, photographs, and postcards known to the author. Ninety of these works in all three forms are illustrated here. They depict the early 20th century rural lifestyle of the doomed valley, and document Brooks' sensitivity to the world around him.
