About This Item
[Le Roy, N.Y. and Toronto, aft. 1915]. One-page circular with related-ephemera. Very Good.
Circular and small brochures promoting four patent medicines sold by S.C. Wells & Co. of Le Roy, New York: the herbal "Celery King"; "Shiloh" for coughs; "Begy's Mustarine," an anti-inflammatory; and Fenner's Golden Relief, a remedy for cuts and bruises.
Brochures for Celery King and Begy's Mustarine include text in German, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Hungarian, and Hebrew. A small glassine envelope with promotional text has a sample of Celery King; its efficacy either then or now, unknown.
Text mentioning M.M. Fenner Co.-sold to S.C. Wells & Co. around 1915, helps date this group.
