Octavo. xli, [i], 239, [i]pp. Fourth edition. Title-page in red-and-black. Contemporary calf, repaired. With the festoon armorial bookplate of John Lloyd, Clerk, e Coll. Jesu Oxon., engraved by F. Prothero. ESTC N26124. Translated by John Clarke, with the corresponding text in Latin and English on two columns. It also contains a study by Clarke; "A large dissertation upon the usefulness of translations of Classick Authors, . . ." According to Ellis's Catalogue of British and American Book-Plates (ex libris) collected by the late Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks, London, 1905, Part I, p. 112, item no. 3340, this is the only plate known by this engraver.
