Some library marks on first pages. Spine gilt titled. Cover with gilded coat of arms of Groningen. Leather glued to spine. Leather a little bit scratched. Signature and date on free endpaper. 'Sehr wichtige Ausgabe. Schiesst sich im Texte der handschrifte und der ersten Ausgabe an; an offenbar corrupten Stellen nahm er Emendationen, fremde und eigenen, auf. Die Noten des Rhenanus und Burer lies er unverstümmelt unter dem Texte abdrucken und fügte ihnen seine Anmerkungen, in welchen er die Lesarten beurtheilte, neue Emendationen vorschlug und den Text sprachlich und sachlich erläuterte hinzu.(...) Der zweite Theil enthält den vollständigen Apparat der Burmannschen Ausgabe.' (Schweiger II,1834, p. 1130).
