Contemporary morocco spine with gilt-tooled spine title. Plain red paper over boards. Printed by G. Auld, for W. Cavell; J. Ridgeway; T. Axtell; T. Wigg; W.T. Swift; J. Young; and A. Lunan. Dedication signed Tim. Broadgrin, and dated Dec. 22, 1786. Running title: The Cabinet of Momus; or, Caledonian Humorist. Direction line states Vol. I, but no more published. ESTC, T128600. Extremely scarce. Lacking frontispiece. Otherwise, in Good+ Condition: leather and boards are rubbed; soiling and staining of pages, in particular a dark stain on lower part of pp. 241-50; old repair to p. 259, with no loss of text.
