The State historical society of Iowa, January 1928. First Edition. Hardcover. Good - Cash. Attatched letter signed by author*** First edition. Deep red cloth hardboards with vibrant gold gilt lettering and embellishments. Top of textblock is gold gilded. Rough cut edges on side and bottom of textblock. Minor soiling and scratches to surfaces of cover. Rubbed corners and edges of cover. Corners frayed and starting to expose hardboards to two corners. Writing in pencil on ffep and back pastedown. Front hinge cracked and exposes webbing. Gutter cracked between pages 208 and 209. Printing error to pages 49-56, 97-104,113-120, and 241-248 textblock was not cut correctly and pages are still stuck together. Minor brown spotting to ffeps. No pages falling out. Photo of the author protected by tissue paper opposite title page. Body of text is crisp, clean and unmarked. Letter from the author folded gently and attatched to front free endpaper. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
