The book is set in California in the 1960s and features the three Becker brothers, just starting their careers as a homicide cop, a reporter and a minister in 1968, when the body of a young woman they've known all their lives is found in an abandoned orange-packing plant, beginning a decades-long search for the killer, each brother hunting in his own way. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows a one-inch tear (tape-repaired on the verso) at the top edge of the back panel near the spine, o/w very minimal surface and edgewear.
