London: E Williams, 1815. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. HAVELL I. 1st ed, VG, 10 pls. In green half morocco with green cloth, corners and edges rubbed. Spine, title and tooling in gilt, raised bands, edges rubbed. Internally, bound without the half title, [5], (vi-viii), [1], 2-360 pp, 10 pls (9 coloured), depicting various interesting scenes including the ancient method of reaping, singing to the harp and dancing, and more, the 10th plates is a plan of the City of Troy, green marbled endpapers, t.e.g., some offsetting from the plates, some occasional light marginal water? staining at heads. Has articles on Druidism, Merlin, King Arthur, Lent, Wakes, Christmas, Welsh Music, Corpse-candle, Burials, Faries, Sacrilege punished, Eagle of Snowdon, Maen Morddwyd in Anglesea, Cock-fighting to mention but a few! (215*132 mm). (Tooley 403. Allibone 1819. Abbey 520) Roberts, Church of England clergyman and antiquary, son of John Roberts, the famous clock-maker, in addition to this title he published two volumes on early Welsh history, A sketch of the early history of the Cymry (700 BC - AD 500) (1803), and The Chronicles of the Kings of Britain (1811), a translation of the work of Geoffrey of Monmouth. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS You may request to cancel a book order or return a book within 14 days of receipt of the book. A book may be returned for one of the following reasons: Item damaged: The item was damaged during shipping. Item not as described: The condition of the book does not match the description on Madoc Books. Incorrect item delivered: The title, cover or edition of the book is different than the title on the order. Item not received: The estimated delivery date has passed and the book has still not arrived. To cancel a book order or return a book simply contact Madoc with your order confirmation details and to obtain the return address.

DELIVERY DETAILS We ship all of our orders via Royal Mail. Orders are usually shipped within 2 or 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized or a multiple in books we will contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Insurance costs are usually dictated by the shippers, should they be higher than normal, then we will contact you for your acceptance.
