Chicago and New York: Rand, McNally & Company, 1890. Decorative Cloth. Very Good +. WARMLY INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR G.O. SHIELDS on the first blank endpaper. A crisp, very solid copy to boot of the 1890 1st edition. Tight and VG+ to Near Fine in its dark-green cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the front panel and spine. Just a touch of light scuffing at the rear panel, otherwise sharp as could be. And internally, very clean, with no writing or markings to speak of beyond the author inscription. Octavo, also includes wonderful camping-related ads --a number of them nicely engraved-- at the rear.
