About This Item
London: Phaidon. A Fine UK first edition & first printing hardback - no dustjacket (as issued) - JR's monochrome paste-ups have become a familiar sight on the favela rooftops of Brazil and the city blocks of New York, yet for a few days, London's book-buying public had the opportunity to see, and even take home, a piece JR's art. In 2015 the French artist, filmmaker and activist had one of his works installed in the window display at Foyles, the famous British bookshop on London's Charing Cross Road. JR pasted one of his signature 'eye' photographs onto the spines of 442 copies of his new book, JR: Can Art Change The World, turning each edition into a beautifully altered collectors' item - Pictures available upon request. . Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 2015.
