The author has written a history of the Canadian Army from the Fist World War successes to the failures in World War II. He looks at possible causes for these changes in fortune. One of the major events that reflect the abilities of the Canadians in WWII is the failure to close the Falaise Gap during the last stages of the Normandy campaign. The appendices include a tank and gun comparison chart between Canadian and German equipment, notes on sources, a bibliography, and index. A near fine copy in a dust jacket protected with a Brodart cover.
