New York City: Appleton-Century-Crofts, Inc, 1953. 1st edition. Hardcover. J. O'H. Cosgrave dust jacket. pp. 277. 8vo. Bound in original terra cotta cloth with spine blocked in blue. Slight shelfwea, two inches of discrete perforations to rear joint. Endpapers tight, and free of former owner's markings, but with some light foxing. Overall very good. The original dust jacket (original - not a facsimile!) is price-clipped, shows a small open tear to the bottom of the rear panel, and some minor chipping to edges. (1) appears on last page of text. Author's photo to rear panel of dust jacket.
