Publisher's original red quarter- cloth and black paper over boards, silver lettering to spine. Book Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very minimal wear in the form of mild rubbing to panels and a few stray indentations. Almost certainly unread. Warmly inscribed by the author with his signature inscription: "For Sarah, with sweet wishes. James Purdy." A sharp copy. Not to be confused with the City Lights limited edition with the same title published in 1985-that edition contains the title story only.
