New York: Lee Furman, Inc, 1939. Hardcover. x, 318p., plenty of portrait and site photos original to the author (who sold them in Australia to finance his expeditions), hardbound American first edition in 8.5x5.5 inch black cloth boards gilt. A much-handled copy with spine titling rubbed to near-illegibility, both hinges cracked (affecting the endsheet maps), cloth bears flecks of offset color, fair-only condition, clean and unmarked within, a good reading copy.
