(London: James Nisbet: 1880) Ballantynes Miscellany series. Blue cloth (that is, hard covers) decorated in blind, partly gilt on spine, and with a pictorial pastedown on front pp. 124 and 2 (Opinions extracts from reviews) (162 x 110 mm) Frontispiece (New Zealand Canoe) and series pictorial extra title-page. An ownership inscription on front free endpaper (David Halliday, Crafers School, Nov. 2nd 1882) and another (same owner) on front fixed endpaper. Head and foot of spine and corners of boards rubbed; scattered small stains or patches of discoloration to the cloth, heaviest to the rear; otherwise a very good copy.
