Small bookseller’s sticker to front endpaper. Else a clean and tight copy. 242 pp. With one photo of original book and one facsimile page of manuscript. Said to be only part of a much longer autobiography, this book covers the years 1843 to 1847, and the experiences of the author in the South Pacific. He describes the people we works and lives with, and their culture and habits.
