New York: Random House, 1958. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 2nd Edition. Signed and inscribed to prior owner by author, Louis O. Kelso, on front endpaper, and placed and dated by him "San Francisco, 1975". First printing of the second edition, with "B 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0" printed at the top of the copyright page with copyright date of 1958. The "B" indicates the second edition and the "0" indicates the first printing. In original-issue dust jacket with publisher's $6.95 price on the front flap. Red cloth hardcover with silver lettering on the spine. 265 pages. NEAR FINE book in VERY GOOD + dust jacket. Book is Fine except for a tiny indentation on the front board and foxing to the endpapers and pastedowns and outer edges of the text block. Otherwise, very bright and clean, tight and square, with no bumping, sunning or wear and flawless pages. No previous owner signature. Dust jacket has a heavily sun-faded spine with lightly chipped spine ends. Bright and clean front panel with some light surface rubbing. Rear panel has a few scattered stains, one small abrasion, three small chips and light creasing along the top edge and one small closed tear at the bottom edge. Foxing on the inner flaps. No creasing. .
