Black and white photographic portrait frontispiece. Map, folding. Seven other plates, one of which is the first page of a fold-out letter from Captain Scott to his wife, dated 1916. Personal gift inscription to the front free endpaper, which shows light discolouration, as does the rear free endpaper. Small tear to head of spine; corners rounded, as may be anticipated.
