About This Item
Harper & Brothers, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine in Very Good DJ. First edition (B-B code present), near fine hardcover shows some mild rubbing and soil to covers, else tight and clean, in very good dust jacket clipped at both top and bottom of front flap (has corner banner indicating first issue) that shows exposure toning along spine, rubbing, soil, and edgewear that includes small chips and tears. 279 pages. Still a fairly pleasing copy in jacket of this popular novel first serialized as 'Desert Bound' in McCall's magazine in 1925 and 1926.
Reviews
On Apr 9 2020, a reader said:
This is a complex novel. The ensemble of characters--a mixture of westerners, native Americans, and easterners coming for health reasons--and the principles' stories are laid bare for the reader to either sympathize with, or assuredly hate; there is little or no middle ground. This book deserves to be read and more highly respected.
