About This Item
UK 1st Edition, 1948. Colour frontispiece, with black/white illustrations by Jetta Vise throughout. Near Very Good condition with minor fading to upper covers and tail of spine (where cloth has been exposed by chips to the dustwrapper). Strips of toning to endpapers and pastedowns. Inscribed by the author to the front endpaper "with best wishes from Lucy W. Bellhouse". No other inscriptions. In Fair dustwrapper, which has separated at the spine, and has large edge chips / tears. (The dustwrapper is now protected by an archival quality, transparent, non-adhesive cover, which can easily be removed if so desired).
