About This Item
New York: Farrar, Straus and Young, 1953. Book Club Edition. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good +. James Reynolds. 8vo, green cloth, map endpapers of the Empire of Kublai Khan, imaginative pictorial jacket of Xanadu by James Reynolds, 307 pages. Scarce and interesting historical fiction in remarkable condition with a wonderful "Lost Horizons" impressionistic colored jacket. A minor flaw is that the front map-endpaper has had a former price written on it in ink. The striking dust jacket has a couple of tiny flaws.
