The book was designed at the offices of The Limited Editions Club. The text was set in Monotype Bembo by Michael and Winifred Bixler of Boston and printed by The Anthoensen Press, Portland, Maine. The artwork was reproduced by the Seaboard Lithograph Corporation, New York. Romare Bearden created eight original lithographs which were hand-printed on Rives paper at the Blackburn Studio, New York. Each book contains one lithograph; the edition size of each lithograph is 250 [although lithograph in this book is marked "275"]. The binding material was designed specially for this edition by Romare Bearden and was executed at Ratti d, Lake Como, Italy.
