About This Item
NY: John Lane, 1916. 104pp. This is one of the scarcer titles by Rice. It is limited to 200 copies and is signed by the author. Rice was one of the most important carillon enthusiasts. He raised money to preserve carillons in Europe after World War I, and he raised money for carillons in the United States, especially his home town of Albany, NY. Among other things he authored the first book in English on the Carillon. Our copy is just about Good and not better. All extremities show wear, the paper spine label, and the rest of the spine, have darkened (although the label is definitely readable. A 2 inch corner of the front free endpaper is gone. There is uniform foxing within. Despite what it sounds like, this is a Good copy of a scarce work on bells and carillons.. Signed by Author. Limited/Signed Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
