With illustrated frontispiece. Publisher's adverts to rear. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Slight gutter cracking. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Slight gutter cracking. Faint creases to some pages. Boards have some edge wear, with some bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Very sunned, rubbed and marked overall. Slight water staining to front, rear and spine. Book has an intense forward lean. Gilt is bright.
