Included here, in addition to the ‘Carminum’, are a number of Volpi’s other writings, his lives of Navagero and Sannazaro, dedications and prefaces to the works of Navagero, Faerno, Fracastoro and Sannazario, as well as works by Checoti, Zanotti, &c. Volpi, a classical scholar, Latin poet, and professor of rhetoric and philosophy at Padua, was also a printer, and established, in conjunction with Giuseppe Comino, a press called ‘Libreria Volpi-Cominiana’, which issued excellent editions of the classics. cfBrunet V 1352. cfGraesse VII 390n.. 1st Edition.
