Biography of early botanist and zoologist, given at scientific meetings in Washington in 1907 on the 200th anniversary of his birth. Pretty little book with bright gilt cover lettering, top edge gilt, deckle edges, frontispiece plate portrait, second plate portrait, 91 pp. Bumped corners, very minor cover wear, interior still tight, minor foxing. Interesting small inked previous owner signature ("Osmond P. Breland, Capt Svc(? ), Carlisle Barracks, Pa., 30 June '45) on free end paper; also very small notation of purchase price and place on top of front end paper). But overall a very very nice copy. Guaranteed satisfaction; booksellers since 1982. . Very Good. Red Cloth (Hard Cover). First Edition. 1912.
