LONDON: MACMILLAN AND CO, 1908 Blue art nouveau design cloth boards and spine with gilt titles similar in design to the A&C Black colour book series..190 x 130 mm approx. [viii] + 242 pp + 4 pp publisher's adverts. Frontis with tissue guard + 6 other line illustrations by Walter Crane as called for. First Published in October 1876 the copy offered by us is a 1908 reprint. VG (Book- light shelf wear to extremities and scuff to upper panel of 10x4mm approx - mainly colour loss. No notable soiling. Offset browning to end papers. Ink gift insc. to preliminary blank. Tissue guard a little browned and mild foxing to edges of book block. Binding sound. No other notable defects.
