About This Item
[Salem, Oregon]: [Capital Journal], 1923. Hardcover. Very Good. Papered boards with pictorial on front cover. Burgundy taped spine. Interior is clean and unmarked. [30] pages. Oblong format. 17 x 26 cm. One institutional copy located on OCLC (Oregon Historical Society). Rare. Album of caricatures, showing 91 persons, both members of the 1923 Oregon Legislature and other individuals at the capital, drawn by Murray Wade (1876-1961), a prominent west coast editorial cartoonist and publisher. Note: the cover mistakenly identifies the 1923 legislative session as the Thirty-First assembly when, in fact, it was the Thirty-Second assembly.
