Dustjacket is in four pieces, but laid in. Previous owner's name. This tale of bigamy, blackmail, and murder was one of Gardner's best-selling "Perry Mason" books. Errol Flynn made his first appearance in a Hollywood film in the 1935 movie adaptation of the book. .
