About This Item
New York: William Morrow. Very Good+ in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1949. First Edition. Hardcover in jacket. First edition bound in soiled and edgeworn yellow cloth complete in 248 pages with very few intermittent foxing spots. The rubbed, worn and lightly soiled dust jacket has been relined. Discoloration due to publisher's glue to both upper and lower hinges and the upper hinge is cracked but remains just tender. Lastly a faint pale purple stain effecting the last 50 or so pages - see photos. From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
