Using the pseudonymn of Jeffrey Hudson, Crichton wrote this Edgar Award-winning mystery-medical thriller while himself still a medical intern; the basis for a movie starring James Coburn and Jennifer O'Neil; Thirteenth Printing of First Paperback Edition; text is clean, tight, square in pictorial wrappers with light reading crease, minimal surface and edgewear. A very nice reading copy.

Synopsis

A Case of Need is a mystery novel written by Michael Crichton under the pseudonym Jeffery Hudson. It was first published in 1968 by The World Publishing Company (New York) and won an Edgar Award in 1969. The novel was re-released in 1993 under Crichton's own name.
