Leipzig, Germany: Bernard Tauchnitz. This two volume set is attractively bound in quarter red leather, with black title labels, marbled boards and bright gilt title lettering. Published in 1898, this First Thus Edition is VG. Size is 16cm x 12cm. Volume One, 279pp with 18 Chapters and clean green endpapers. Volume Two, 271pp with 19 chapters and clean green endpapers.Late owner was H.A. Cumberbatch, and his initials appear in gilt on foot of spine, and his name is rubber stamped to fixed front endpaper and title page of both volumes. This is the Copyright Edition and is Tauchnitz No. 3326. Slight wear to corners, otherwise VG . Very Good. Hardcover. First Thus Edition. 1898.
