Erdoes, Richard. 1st ptg. pre-dating the UK 1st ed., large 8vo, full mustard cloth with black spine titling and magenta drawing of the devil and cat to front board. Illustrated in color by Richard Edoes. From a letter to Joyce's grandson wherein he tells the tale of an agreement with the devil for a bridge over the Loire and how the local mayor gets the best of the bargain. Fine in near fine, unclipped dj, small green initials inked next to price, tiny scuff to spine titling, no other markings.
