the British Museum, London, 1923. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic. 1.1 kg; XX, 96, 170 pages, last three pages blank, in original blue cloth binding, with blue boards. The front board shows signs of sunning and even possibly water damage. Rubbing and chipping of the paper covering of the front and rear boards and bumping to the head and tail of the spine section. Ownership inscription on the front end page. There are 84 black-and-white photographic plates printed single side which comprise the rear portion of the book. The text portion offers a list of the plates, and index, and introduction with a list of the principal works consulted, and then a cataloguing of the works, with the final section being on the matter of marks and signatures.
