Paris: Jacques Barois, 1742. An extensive private library auction catalogue. 2, xii, 500 pp. 5103 lots described. Bookplate of M. Janvier de Flainville, "avocat au parlement, & au bailliage présidial de Chartres." On the verso of the half-title is a note in Janvier de Flainville's hand, signed with his intricate monogram. Large 8vo. Contemporary calf, spine elaborately gilt in six compartments. All edges red. Binding somewhat worn but still solid and attractive. Internally FINE AND BRIGHT. Rare.
