Among the highlights noted were the following: a very fine and rare Treves Psalter of the XIII Century, with full-page Miniatures on Gold Ground; a very fine XVI Century Shah-Nameh; an English vernacular manuscript of Mandevilles Voyages; Etc. from private collections in England, France and Germany. a Fine Block Book (Biblia Pauperum), the Property of a Nobleman; an important series of drawings of North American Scenery, collected by George, 9th Earl of Dalhousie, G.C.B., Governor of Canada, 1819-28, ..; the complete contemporary manuscript of Benjamin Franklin's famous examination before Parliament regarding the Stamp Act; and the original manuscript proposals for the Institution of the Society of the Cincinnati by Officers of the American Revolutionary Army signed by Baron Von Steuben at His Headquarters in 1783.
