About This Item
Sheed, Andrews and McMeel, Inc., 1978. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good DJ. First edition, very good + cloth hardcover shows light bowing to covers, hint of bumping to top corners and touch of waviness to first few pages, in very good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows touch of rubbing and light edgewear. 128 pages with a few illustrations and photographic endpapers. Still a pleasing copy of "..these letters, spanning the last five years of Merton's life, where we see the private whimsy and easy erudition of a monk fully comfortable with himself and with his correspondent, a classmate from his Columbia days, Robert Lax.
