About This Item
Synopsis
A delightfully varied and expressive collection of single panel cartoons, caricaturing the behavior and personalities of cats (and rats and mice) or integrating drawings of them into abstract and very creative designs. Whether you like cats or don't care for them, I guarantee these little vignettes will make you smile. I was fortunate to find a collection of postcards of most of them at one time and have them framed above the desk in my office. Ungerer is a brilliant designer and draftsman, and the mastery of line and composition in the drawings is wonderful as well as his understanding of feline nature. A lovely book and a fine gift for a cat or cartoon lover.
