Hastings House, 1958. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good DJ. Advanced presentation edition "for our friends in the book trade" is signed by Sandoz on presentation page, very good + cloth hardcover shows thin brown strips running up and down portion of both pastedowns where jackets had once been taped down, couple of light bumps at cover edges and some other very light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows same brown blemishing along fore edges of both flaps from previous tape down, along with light soil and edgewear that includes closed tears with tape mends at reverse and a handful of tiny open chips. 527 pages with a set of black & whites and endpaper maps. Still a pleasing copy of this "..story of cattle in America and of the men whose ranches reached from the Rio Grande up into the far regions of Montana." Signed advanced presentation copy that makes up an installment in the American Procession series. Signed.
