San Francisco: Bancroft, 1876. First edition.. Brown cloth stamped in blind, spine and front cover designed and lettered in gilt. Brown coated end papers. Shelf wear to edges, cloth repair to split along front hinge and tear across spine, inner front hinge repaired; generally a very good copy, internally fresh. Copies exist in other colors of cloth, including blue and purple. A collection of short pieces, many of them fantasy and science-fiction. Bleiler: Science-Fiction: The Early Years: 1862.
