First edition. Hofmann was the NY Times Bureau Chief for Rome and author of numerous articles on Italy and its development after World War II. His work, Cento Cittá is an unusual approach to Italy, as it focuses on the one hundred small towns and villages that are usually forgotten by travel writers. Well documented and illustrated.
