Hurst and Blackett, 1903. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1903. No Edition Remarks. 608 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Half bound in leather with marbled paper covered boards. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Black and white photographic plates. Volume I. Light thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpaper. Binding is noticeable loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild fraying, tanning and scuffing overall. Moderate staining to rear board. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
